I don’t know about you, but ever since I got out of high school it’s like the life got sucked out of my skin. Not to be melodramatic either, my skin had literally gotten dry, flaky, and altogether crusty. The skin around my nose would peal and I began getting a couple little irritation bumps on my forehead and cheeks.
After much frustration and failed attempts at supplements like fish oil to plumpen my skin I finally realized it probably had something to do with what I was actually putting on my skin and not what I was digesting. I have always valued my skin, however, and didn’t mind splurging on brands like Lancome or Clinique. That was the problem, I focussed too much on hyped up brands, and didn’t put enough attention to the importance of natural ingredients. Since then, I have switched my skincare routine to a more natural one.
The products I’m featuring today aren’t all my everyday products, but they are products I use on a weekly basis when I am wanting to instantly hydrate and brighten my complexion. A few of the products like the Acure Brilliantly Brightening and the Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go I do use daily.
1) Acure Brightening Vegetable Peel $10.87

I’ve tried a few at home peels, and this is by far my favorite. You leave it on for 3-5 minutes if you have sensitive skin and around 8 if you have normal skin. Once you’ve removed the product you are left with baby soft skin that is ready for the next steps in your beauty routine. I love this peel specifically because it is not too harsh and doesn’t sting like other peels I have tried.
2) Nügg Face Mask Hydrating $3.99

I LOVE this face mask. My only complaint is that the pouch comes with enough product for two uses but it is not resealable so you have to put it in a baggy or something sanitary. However, this mask is made with 94% natural ingredients and feels like silk on your skin! It’s amazing. Just try it.
3) Pixi Rose Caviar Essence $24
Buy Here
This essence is meant to be used after your toner and before any moisturizers. This may be a bit of an extra step, and I admittedly don’t do it every day but it really doesn’t brighten up and refresh your complexion. If you know anything about Asian beauty secrets and their crazy 10 step beauty routines than you know all about the importance and hype of essences.
4) Acure Brilliantly Brightening Mask $9.99

This is a thick green mask that you let sit on your face for about 15-20 minutes before washing off. I love this mask because it doesn’t irritate my skin and it seems to balance out the pigmentation of my skin while hydrating my face.
5) Acure Brilliantly Brightening Serum $16.86

This Serum is a new find for me, and WOW I love it! Thanks, Whole Foods for always letting me find things I don’t have on my shopping list. You put this serum on right after your moisturizer and it automatically gives you this amazing youthful and healthy glow. It has even inspired me to go out of the house sans makeup!
6) Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go $17.99

I love Pixi’s Glow Tonic, and the to-go packaging is so convenient! They also have just the toner in a bottle if you prefer to use a rag or your own cotton pads. However, I find this packaging so nice, especially for travel. This stuff is a great last step in your cleansing routine before you moisturize your skin, There’s been so many time when I think my face is completely free of makeup and then I use this and find out I was completely wrong.
