Hey friends, I have had a few people ask me about my daily beauty routine recently. While I don’t consider myself a beauty guru by any means, I do wear makeup on the daily – so, I thought I’d share my go-to Spring Makeup products with you all.
When it comes to makeup I am super minimalist. Though I used to hoard makeup and spend excessive amounts of money on new launches, I finally realized I always gravitated towards the same products no matter how much makeup I had. That being said, all the products listed below are tried and true products that I have been using for the past 6+ months (besides the shade of lipstick, but I am forever obsessed with CT formula in all shades).
Milk Makeup Stick Foundation
What I have been loving about this foundation is how easy it is to apply and that I can use it both as a concealer and an all-over face product. The fewer steps I have in my makeup routine the better!
This is a medium-full coverage foundation, however, I typically apply it to the center of my face and blend it out with a foundation brush creating a more light-medium coverage finish.
Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer
Okay, this product admittedly is a bit pricey (as all CT products are) but I figure if you keep your makeup collection small and use everything regularly than it’s worth spending a bit more on each individual item.
This bronzer is the perfect color and blends beautifully into the skin. If however, this is out of your budget, I have used and liked Physicians Formula’s Butter Bronzer in the past. However, CT’s remains my beloved favorite.
Charlotte Tilbury “Swish and Pop” Blusher
I love CT for her amazing color range, and that is why you will notice so many of her products are my go-to’s. Every colorway she comes out with is unbelievably flattering on all skin types!
There is a myriad of color choices in her blushers, but I personally use the “first love” shade which is the perfect compliment for all seasons and almost any lip color.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick
If there is still one part of my makeup drawer that looks a bit excessive it would be my lipstick drawer. While everything else is paired down, I admittedly have at least 8 CT lipsticks and a few others from different brands. However, I really do believe having the right shade of pink for your outfit can make a HUGE difference. Depending on your wardrobe, you should probably have at least one color per season to match the different tones of your clothing.
CT lipsticks are by far my favorite for two reasons: one, the color selection is flat out amazing and two the formulas glide on beautifully and don’t dry out my lips. While CT lipsticks are quite the investment, they do make refills now through Sephora which are substantially cheaper. So, if you find a color your like restocking it will be much better than the initial investment.
Honest Mascara
For a long time, I was on the hunt for a mascara with more clean ingredients that performed like everything else on the market. You can even see that I did a less than stellar review of Mineral Fusion’s mascara last year here.
Luckily, not much time had passed after that review before I stumbled upon Honest’s mascara. This mascara is a dream and makes my lashes both long and full! While this may not be the cleanest alternative, it is rated pretty high by EWG and as you can probably tell, although I try and use brands with better ingredients I haven’t gone completely all-natural with my beauty routine by any means.
NYX Tinted Brow Gel
Honestly, I’ve tried many brow gels and haven’t noticed all that much of a difference. So, for $5.69 I think NYX has this category beat. However, I would like to find a slightly more clean conscious brand in the future that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for such a simple no-fuss product.
